2026 RevOps tech stack: what to consolidate and keep

Eight categories, fewer tools, more leverage. Our take on the post-platform fatigue RevOps stack.

Most growing B2B teams accumulate tools faster than they consolidate them. Every new problem gets a new point solution, and two years later nobody can say which tool is actually the source of truth for anything.

The eight categories that matter

The eight RevOps tech stack categories and where they can be consolidated.

Where the fatigue comes from

Categories 3 through 8 are exactly where tool sprawl happens — every one of them has a dozen point-solution vendors, each solving one narrow problem well and none of them talking to each other cleanly. The result: reps working across 6-8 open tabs to close one deal, and a system of record that's missing half the context because it lived somewhere else.

What "consolidate" actually means

It doesn't mean one tool for everything — that's how you end up back at generic-and-bloated. It means picking one system of record that can absorb categories 6 and 7 natively (reporting and automation) instead of bolting on two more subscriptions, and being deliberate about which point solutions in 2-5 are worth keeping separate because they're genuinely best-in-class at one job.

The test for any tool in the stack: does it make the system of record more accurate, or does it become another place data has to be manually reconciled from? If it's the second one, it's a candidate for consolidation.
